Hi,
My daughter is lucky enough to be travelling to New York with a school art trip (never had trips like that when I was at school!!).
The school has suggested that the girls have travelex cards with their spending money on instead of their normal handy cards for their bank accounts. They say it will be easier to find 1 ATM that takes travelex cards instead of finding different ATM%26#39;s for different handycards (ie. ANZ, Westpac, Bankwest etc).
I have done a bit of research into travelex and it seems that you have to pay 1% commission to put money into the card which is a bit steep I think. The only other costs seem to be a small fee (about $3) for each transaction.
I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with these Travelex cards and how they found them as far as ease of use and any hidden costs.
Thankyou.
NJay
Travelex Card instead of Handycard?????
