New York in summer?

Hello,

My husband and I are considering taking a weekend trip to new York during the summer months- June, July, august. Is it too hot during this time? We don%26#39;t want to be miserable and not enjoy ourselves- it will be our first time going.

Maria, please ignore the troll. It will be pretty hot and humid during July and August, but it%26#39;s not unbearable.

marie - please ignore that rude poster - just like to say I think August would be more hot and humid - but as you know weather if fickle.....

I think june is the best month to go,july and august are to humid. That is what will kill you is the humidity.I just went in Feb which was the oppisite very cold and ir was our first time we are also from california. June is perfect walking weather.

And I got a fantastic week in August last year where the humidity was low and temps were in the high 70%26#39;s/low 80%26#39;s (perfect) every day.

Keep in mind that the subway cars and buses have a/c (even though the stations don%26#39;t) but every restaurant and museum will have a/c, and there are plenty of cool green parks to cool off in. You could literally walk down the street and duck into shop after shop.

Millions of people live here and we manage. Summer

is great. Lots of free concerts, street fairs and

festivals. Come on over you%26#39;ll have a great time.
