We are arriving at the end of April. The prices a re about the same for suites of 500sq ft for the London and 650 for the Sofitel. The Sofitel is more highly rated in TA but some show the London at 5 stars and Sofitel at 4. I also would like to be near the F train to visit my daughter in Brooklyn. The London is 1 block from F train station, not sure about Sofitel. Has anyone stayed at these?
The London or Sofitel Hotel
They%26#39;re both near F train stops. At the London you%26#39;d use the stop near Rockefeller Center. At the Sofitel you%26#39;d use the stop near Bryant Park which is only 2 blocks away. Here%26#39;s the subway map

They%26#39;re both very nice hotels. All the rooms at the London are suites and some have Central Park views (vista suite). Have you looked at the travelers photos on the review pages? There are some photos of suites at the Sofitel. I happen to prefer the decor at the London, but you might not.
Not all the suites at the London have a solid door in between the living room and the bedroom-some just have a glass French door, so if that%26#39;s an issue for you, I%26#39;d find out exactly what you%26#39;d be getting.

Also, I think not all suites at the London have a bathtub-some just have a shower.
I don%26#39;t know what prices you%26#39;ve been quoted, but someone recently got a good deal on the Trump International with a park view (poster RichNJax)

and someone recently asked about a booking site
whatahotel.com
which seems to get very good deals on the better hotels. While I have no personal experience with them, it might be worth checking prices and options.
