It is hard to say what the best is. Here is a link to yelp restaurant suggestions in Korea Town. Also I am including other links. Everybody seems to complain about service. You will generally not get good service in Korea town. But I like the food.

I ate at Kun Jip the other evening, it is a great place but it is always packed. You%26#39;ll wait for a table and you won%26#39;t get the kind of service you may be expecting. When you%26#39;re waiting for your table they%26#39;ll ask you to order. They%26#39;ll move you out of the way while you wait for your table and they%26#39;ll tell you, ';stand right here.'; They mean it, don%26#39;t move, don%26#39;t do anything but stand perfectly still in exactly the spot they tell you. The food is very good and it is all part of the experience. There is another one closer to Broadway that is larger, also very good and has a location in Flushing as well.

If you want to feel as though you%26#39;ve gone to Korea for dinner, catch the 7 train to Main St. Flushing.

Kun Jip always has a line, so that says something... I%26#39;ve never been there though. You cant go wrong with Cho Dang Gol on West 35th. Really superior.

Mandoo Bar on West 32nd is great for dumplings and noodles. I constantly host big groups for barbeque upstairs at Won Jo. Both of these places are full of Koreans, which is a good sign to me....

thanks so much!

I was surfing menupages.com and the forum for a Korean place for tomorrow, and look at this Feb 25, 2009 review for Kun Jip. Love the ';shrugged shoulders.';

Is this typical, b/c two friends I%26#39;m going with can%26#39;t tolerate the slightest abrupt or un-cordial service? Thanks.

I have been looking for a Korean Restaurant too in Koreatown; places that seem to pop up is Kun Jip and Seoul Garden.

Also I found this place called Pocha 32 (W 32nd St|5th and B%26#39;way) -- has anyone been here? It looks kinda like a cool dive place with the fish net decor and everything.

BTW I have never had Korean food before, so what does Korean food usually consist of? What are the dishes I must try?
