3 wk affordable accomodation for family w/ baby

We are looking for a place to stay in or near Manhattan for the period of April 5th to 20th approx. Kitchen needed to prepare baby meals. Paying per night for a hotel room seems too expensive. Anybody knows if subletting a studio for only a month is a feasible possibility (and an affordable one, nonetheless)? Any advice deeply appreciated.

Please forget about looking for a sublet - vacation rentals in NYC are almost all illegal for stays of less than 30 days, and there are many scams out there.

Thanks for the response. $1000 is what we were hoping to find. Is that too low for a monthly rent? If we paid for one month, but left a week early, would that still be impossible? Any suggestions for perhaps nearby areas the surrounding bouroughs or NJ?

$1,000 is going to get you a whole lot of nothing in the entire NYC area. Try doubling or tripling that amount, and check out Oakwood:
