Meatball Parm

Where is the best, both size and quality Meatball parm in either Midtown West or Midtwon East?

Meatball Parm

I don%26#39;t have any idea myself, but I see that some people online recommend Lazzara%26#39;s:

But it looks like you%26#39;re much better off elsewhere:

By the way, do you know about the Defonte%26#39;s that just opened not too far north of the EVill?

looks like Lazzara%26#39;s is it. I%26#39;ll have to check out the other one someday too.

I don%26#39;t eat those either, but I searched on some websites, such as www.google.com , www.eater.com , http://nymag.com/daily/food/ (Grub Street) to find this place:

(See ';The Little Benny';)

Are you a 30 Rock watcher? If so, do you remember the episode about how once a year the Teamsters bring in sandwiches from some secret location in Brooklyn and all work stops b/c they%26#39;re so good? The sandwich place in question is supposedly Defonte%26#39;s (the original is in Red Hook). I haven%26#39;t been, but if it%26#39;s good enough for Tina Fey . . .

I have been to Joe Doe, which QB just referenced, and while I haven%26#39;t had the Little Benny, when I went they were serving these little sandwiches are barbecued buffalo that were terrific. You know, in case you need more cholesterol in your diet :)

Crans - good to know!

PKSGX - have you tried searching on http://midtownlunch.com/

Love this contest!

Incidentally, the Times has an article today about the ';sandwich smackdown'; brewing between Defonte%26#39;s and nearby Lamazou:

I haven%26#39;t been to Defonte%26#39;s, but I%26#39;ve bought sandwiches and cheese from Lamazou numerous times, and am sort of rooting for them. (But really, there%26#39;s room enough for both, isn%26#39;t there?) Almost every time I go into Lamazou, my total comes to some odd amount like $7.13, and whenever I try to hand Aziz (the owner) $8, he%26#39;ll only take $7 and says, ';Pay me next time, ok?'; We must owe that guy $20 in rounded-off change.

OMG, duck and brie sandwiches around the corner and I didn%26#39;t know about them????

But I don%26#39;t know about it being a Murray Hill sandwich showdown, Crans. I would argue Dafonte%26#39;s is in Grammurray.

LOL! Also acceptable: North East Village (NoEvil) or Irving Place East (IrvPlease).

Lamazou%26#39;s sandwiches are terrific, Kate--get yourself there sometime. (But don%26#39;t tell anyone about it!)

Perhaps slightly Northwest of the East Village - NoWeevil.
