Restaurant in area of East 76th and Lex.

Going to be in NYC for concert in this area. Looking for neighborhood type restaurant within 10 block radius, or further if the walk takes me down toward Penn. Reasonably priced (salad and entree $25 max). Type of food is really pretty open. Suggestions?

I think Melon%26#39;s is a perfect idea if you want a pub type place. Most of the other affordable places in the area are further east on 3rd, 2nd and 1 st so a bit out of your way if you%26#39;re heading to Penn station. There are some decent options in the 60%26#39;s though like Wajima for Japanese and Pastafina for Italian or Brio for an individual pizza and salad. I interested to know where there%26#39;s a concert at Lex %26amp; 76 st.? In the church?

NYwhiz - the concert is a jazz concert with Ted Rosenthal doing jazz takes on classical music at the DiCapo Opera Theatre, which is on the lower level of St. Jean Baptiste Church. The theatre has about 200 seats. It%26#39;s pretty nice.

Fascinating. Had no idea there was a theater there or that they did jazz. ;) Thanks for posting.

We saw Turondot at the DeCapo Theater! Talk about squeezing 10 lbs of opera into a 5 lb venue!
