Four of us were going to see the new Exit the King, the Ionesco play, last Friday, and we ate at Trecolori since it was across the street from the theatre...had a six pm reservation.....as our main courses were being consumed, staff started carrying tables over our heads to the center and rear of the restaurant, and others started setting up loud speakers near the bar.....as our desserts were being served, loud guests started to arrive for this ';private party'; and stood right near our table, also blocked the stairs to the restrooms, the coat area and the exit.....This was extremely annoying.....restaurants that serve the theatre district should respect the 6 to 8 pm period and not start private parties until after the pre theatre crowd has left the restaurant (by 7:45 at the latest so this certainly gives them plenty of time) I don%26#39;t expect to have tables carried over my head while i am eating; i would not return to this restaurant
Trattoria Trecolori: So how about letting us finish eating?!
Sounds awful. How was the food (and did you like the play)????
Trattoria Trecolori: So how about letting us finish eating?!
the food was quite good and were it not for what occurred, i would go back
The play was classic Ionesco....my friend and I loved it, the men did not (the subject was power and death....and my husband doesn%26#39;t do well with the subject of death in a comedy!)...Acting was just terrific, especially Geoffrey Rush
If the food was that good, it is a shame about the service issue. Thanks for the feedback on the play.
