Sunday morn with teen girl and Accomplice NY

I am planning a weekend trip with my 14yo DD on April 4%26amp;5. We will be staying at the Affinia Manhattan or the Millenium Broadway (haven%26#39;t decided yet). DD wants to shop , so I think we will spend Saturday in Soho, Greenwich Village, etc. Dinner is at VYNL and then the National Comedy Theatre.

I am at a loss as to what to do Sunday morning. I was thinking of spending the morning in Central Park and maybe checking out some Gossip Girl locations. I have the locations from gridskipper. Do you have any other suggestions? What about a backup plan if it is raining? We have been to NYC before, so she doesn%26#39;t want to do the usual tourist things. OK, the Gossip Girl locations are touristy but it is Gossip Girl, so she considers that ok.

We will be doing the Accomplice NY at 1pm. If anybody has done this, could you give me an idea of what area we end at? I need to allow time to pick up our bags at the hotel and I would like to get something to eat before we leave. We leave Penn Station at 7pm.

In addition to or instead of the park: MOMA, the Met Museum, Tenement Museum, a cruise. If you haven%26#39;t bought tickets already for National Comedy, check

goldstar.com

They have discounts for that and other things.

I haven%26#39;t done the Accomplice (yet) but you will have plenty of time to pick up your bags if you start at one.

No need to ruin the fun......

Agree with Meyem. ;)

You%26#39;ll end up near a subway stop for the N/R train, which can take you to Herald Square/34th St in 15 minutes or so. An easy walk to your hotel and Penn Station.

Swabva-

My family is also doing Accomplice:NY at 1:00 on Sunday, 4/5! Looks like we%26#39;ll see you there! :-)

SWABVA - I just returned from NY where I visited with two 19 year olds. They loved shopping at the Disney store, M%26amp;Ms and Hershey stores. They also loved Soho. What surprised me is that they loved Madame Tussauds! I am not a wax museum person, but they had a ball posing with the statues and taking pictures. They even could do a mock ';American Idol'; try-out. Pretty funny. While we were out, we also went into the Natural History museum (they remembered that Night in the Museum was filmed there) and enjoyed that as well.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I had forgotten about the Tenement Museum. We wanted to do that the last time we were in New York and didn%26#39;t have time. I will suggest that to her. Now that I have an idea about what trains are nearby, I will be able to plan what to do after Accomplice. Got the info without giving away anything! Thanks everybody.
