My daughter will be taking classes at BDC (322 W. 45th) at the end of May and we are looking at the Marriott Marquis or the Hampton Inn Times Square North as our hotel options. Can anyone tell me which is more convenient to the dance center? We will be going back and forth during the day and evening for a week.
Other hotel/casual dining suggestions for that immediate area?
Thanks.

The Marriott Marquis is slightly closer to the Dance Center than the Hampton Inn, but it%26#39;s a fairly trivial difference.
Thanks. I%26#39;ll check into the hotel.
They both got good reviews, Hampton incl. brkfst and is a bit cheaper. Just wanted to know if there was anything that would make the Marriott a better choice - either distance-wise or quality.
We stayed at the Marriott Marquis last night. There are several restaurants in the area. For breakfast I recommend ';Galaxy Diner'; which is a 2 block walk - it%26#39;s on the corner of 9th and 46th. (Marriott is on 46 at Broadway). Breakfast there is $5. Right across from the Marriott there%26#39;s a square with outdoor tables (where you buys same day theater tickets). They were a lot of people that bought Starbucks, MacDonalds and street food who were eating there. There%26#39;s a Starbucks on the 8th floor of the Marriott and also just outside the hotel.
Marriott rooms are beautiful. Large screen HDTV, hookups for laptop, alarm clock accommodates an iPod. Very nice.
The Marriott is really glamorous, interior glass elevator, floor to ceiling windows with views, big hotel. The Hampton Inn Times Square has good sized rooms (some with 2 queen beds) and people say the continental breakfast is just ok. The Westin is another good option. There are really dozens of hotels in that area. If you go to
maps.google.com
and map the dance center and then use the ';search nearby'; function and ask for hotels you%26#39;ll see lots of options. The Casablanca is a smaller more homey hotel in the area as is the Muse.
Thanks for the advice.
