I%26#39;ve noticed the Times Square booth opens at 3pm but the one at South Street Seaport opens at 11am. If I want to buy tickets for that evening, do I stand a better chance of getting my tickets at Seaport or will they just sell matinee tickets until 3pm? We want to try get tickets for Avenue Q on a Thursday

Personally, I wouldn%26#39;t bother standing in line--I would use the discount codes available on http://www.broadwaybox.com/ (The current Avenue Q code expires at the end of May, but they%26#39;ll almost certainly post a new one as that date approaches.)

But in answer to your question, the booth at the Seaport only sells matinee tickets a day in advance (not on the same day), so the tickets on sale at 11 are for the evening performance.

while in NY last Dec 08 we always got our tkts at South Street Seaport cos then it left us the rest of the day to explore etc. plus it was close to our sons apartment. plan to get there an hour earlier say 10.00 %26amp; you should be first in line. the 2nd time we got there a bit later but in the end we still got our tkts fairly quickly after they opened at 11.00am. Anyone going at Christmas time %26amp; want tkts for the Radio City Xmas Special we bought our tkts for $55US each at the booth on the day - excellent seats (the theatre wanted to charge us $110.00ea for the same time/day %26amp; seats in similar area. ps if with a friend - there is a great coffee shop near the tkt booth with great choice of vegetarian foods etc

If you decide to buy tickets at the times square booth, there are two lines -- one line says ';plays'; - that%26#39;s if you are buying tickets for a play that is not a musical - it is a shorter line.

thanks for that. Will probably head to South Street Seaport and get the best tickets at 11am before the booth opens in Times Square. Plan to incorporate trip down to this area with our walk across Brooklyn Bridge
