Going to a show in May with family including my two children. Looking for a hotel near the theater on 205 W. 46th street. Willing to spend money as long as its a nice hotel. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
Hotel near 46th st. Kid friendly!!
I%26#39;m always curious what ';kid-friendly'; means in terms of a hotel. When you say kid friendly, what do you envision?

That children are welcome...some hotels are very ';ritzy'; and I would feel uncomfortable having children there. I am not looking for child centered activities just a welcoming atmosphere.
I think well-behaved children are welcome anywhere - after all, Eloise lived at the Plaza.
To me, the most kid friendly hotels are suite hotels that have extra space and a refrigerator or kitchenette in the room. The Doubletree Guest Suites Times Square fits that description. It%26#39;s not posh. In fact, it%26#39;s probably overdue for a renovation but the space is good as is the location.
The AKA Suites Times Square is another option but not sure if their suites will sleep 4. In a regular hotel room, the Marriott Marquis has good sized rooms, floor to ceiling windows and views. For something a bit cheaper, the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square and the Hampton Inn Times Square North both have rooms with 2 queen beds.
You really do not have to stay at a hotel %26#39;near%26#39; the theater - many midtown Manhattan hotels are within easy walking distance of theaters.
As for kid-friendly hotels and the ritzy ones you mention - I%26#39;m sure you wouldn%26#39;t choose one of those anywway as they can be quite pricey.
When we were bringing our children to hotels in New York years ago, we never worried about them being accepted - just made our bookings.
Of course back then we were from Lake Wobegon and you know what they say about those people.
So, as suggested a suite hotel may be a better option.
