Penn Station to JFK Airport

Hi All,

I%26#39;d like to know where i could get the airport bus services at the Penn Station in NY.

Im going there by train to the penn station, then have to wait for the airport bus, but i dont know where its suppose to be.

I would be really appreciated if anyone could tell me where i the bus is, like as accurate as possible.

Thanks

Penn Station to JFK Airport

The name of the bus service is New York Airport Express (clever, huh?). You%26#39;ll board it on W.33rd St., near the corner of 7th Avenue:

And here%26#39;s a photo of what their buses look like, so you know what to look for (don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s the only bus service which stops there):

33 street goes west and I believe what they are talking about is the north/east corner of 33rd and 7th which is across 7th Avenue from Penn Station not next to Penn. I believe when they say ';across from the Pennsylvania Hotel'; they mean across 33rd street which would be by the Sbaro Restaurant.

Thanks Alot!

Okay atleast now i know what the bus looks like! :)

So the place your talking about is this: (according to google maps)

maps.google.com/maps鈥?/a>

and im gonna guess that it is the place with lots of taxis (on the map)

im i right?

Thanks again :)

Not quite; what Frank is referring to is (a) across 7th Ave. from the taxi cluster depicted on that map, and (b) on W. 33rd St. itself. So, right about where ';W33rdSt'; appears on that aerial photo.

Thank You Both!!

:)

If you are already going to be at Penn Station, why not take a train to JFK? That would be quicker and easier. Take any train to Jamaica in Queens (which is the major connecting point, with numerous trains each hour), and connect at Jamaica Station for the AirTrain to the terminals at JFK.

Yup, you can take the Long Island Rail Road for $5.25 - $7.25, depending on time from Penn Station to Jamacia Station in 20 minutes....At Jamacia, detrain and take the Air Train monorail for an additional $5 right to your terminal in 10-15 minutes. Be sure to buy your tickets at the machine as they cost an addition $5 on the actual train from the conductor.

The E subway train will also stop at Jamacia station from Penn for a mere $2-$2.50 but if it takes me 45 minutes to get home, I imagine it will take about an hour to get to Jamacia.

Always good to have options in case something happens :-)

Id always opt for the subway or train to Airtrain over the bus... Buses are impacted by traffic.... I arrived in JFK at 7:50 Monday night - went through immigration, waited for luggage, and through customs - and was home by 9pm - on the Airtrain and E train. I live near the next stop after Penn Station.

I agree - at Penn Station, take the E train to Jamaica-Sutphin Boulevard, or the LIRR to Jamaica.

Change there for the AirTrain. It%26#39;s great!
