Hi. In NYC with daughter and having a wonderful time! Have an early morning (6am) flight home and no doorman at hotel. Hotel said they would call a ';private'; taxi with a fare of $45. Not sure if we could hail a taxi at that time of morning, is there a number to call to arrange a pick up by a yellow cab? Thanks.

You can definitely find a cab that early. They are always around. You can%26#39;t call a yellow cab, but you can call livery cabs - www.dial7.com is one option.

A yellow cab would def be cheaper, prob around $30. I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;d have a problem finding one. If, however, you like the convenience and certainty of ordering the car, and don%26#39;t want to worry about finding a cab, $45 is not bad.
