On Friday in the evening you could goes to some bars and club in the Village and LES to see some of those nabes.

Saturday has got alot packed in, don%26#39;t know whether you would be able to fit in it all in. What Brooklyn Bus Tour are you doing?

On the Sunday, the upper bus tours, aren%26#39;t usually that upper, and will probably take you round most of the areas around Midtown, and the lower half of Central Park.

If your wife eats cheese, most Italian restaurants will be fine for you both. Near your hotel, ViceVersa is a very well regarded one. You%26#39;d need a reservation there and it can be made on

They and most of the restaurants in the area around your hotel wil be busiest pre theater (5:30-7:30) and post theater (after 10). Indian and Thai restaurants also generally have good vegetarian options. I%26#39;ve not tried it but Basera is getting very good reviews in the area of your hotel.

For Thai, Wondee Siam or the kitschy Vynl are good options.

I would say the big thing your itin. misses are the downtown neighborhoods of the financial district, Greenwich Village, Soho and Tribeca. But perhaps one of your bus tours will cover some of that. These areas are far larger and more interesting than Little Italy (which is touristy and only about 4 blocks) or Chinatown. I don%26#39;t know what%26#39;s in the ';upper Manhattan'; bus tour planned for Sun. Do you?

Thanks for the advice. I will check out those resteraunts.

The tours I mention are the hop on hop off greyhound bus tours that we have got tickets for. I think they take 2 hours approx.

I thought we might have spare time sunday so could take in more downtown neighbourhoods then. Or we thought we could give the staton island ferry a miss if it is busy and involves a lot of queing.

I think saturday is going to be the push as we have to collect our basketball tickets when the box office opens at 10am and then be back at MSG by 7pm for the game. (read that will call shuts 1 hour after event start which is 3.30pm but we are only going for the final game)

I suggest you take a good look at the route map for the ho ho tour

You%26#39;ll want to coordinate the time of your arrival at the ferry terminal with the boat schedule (it runs less frequently on Saturdays %26amp; Sundays, no more than every 30 minutes).

But once the doors slide open for boarding, everyone piles on; there%26#39;s no line for security clearance like that at an airport or to board the boat which goes to the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island. Total travel time across the harbor and back: about an hour.
