A great toddler-friendly restaurant in Little Italy?

Want to go to Little Italy and experience the atmosphere for dinner. We have a todder to take with us - need a place that doesn%26#39;t mind young kids, ie they can have fun too. Not too stuffy. Great food would be a bonus!

Any other family friendly suggestions in manhattan are appreciated. We want to take him to restaurants where we will %26#39;fit in%26#39; and not feel as if we might bother the other patrons.

You%26#39;re probably using an old guide book. The atmosphere of Little Italy is Chinatown.

Little Italy is now only four blocks long, with mostly mediocre, touristy restaurants. A good area to get a cappucino, canoli or gelato, but that%26#39;s about it.

What%26#39;s your dining budget?

Most restaurants in NYC are good for kids, as long as the kids can sit for a reasonable period of time.

When you say, ';they need to have fun, too';...I%26#39;m wondering. No offense, but if the kids need to get up and run around after sitting for 10 minutes, then they might not be ';restaurant ready,'; as my BIL says. ;o)

So, if they like restaurants, you should have no problems virtualy anywhere.

Bamonte%26#39;s in Brooklyn might be fun. Le Zie is great and if the kids are mellow, it%26#39;ll be great.

Our vast assortment of local diners and coffee shops are great for kids: cheap, varied menu and unbreakable dishes.
