hotel millenium

I was thinking of staying at the Hotel Millenium when we visit in the summer. We will be there for a long weekend. Are there places to walk for breakfast, (bagel shops, etc.) being it is in the fiancial district? I am thinking small eateries will be closed on the weekends, is that true?

Just yesterday, another TA poster asked about staying at the Hilton Millennium, so take a look at this thread. There%26#39;s a wealth of information provided there, especially by TA Destination Expert queensboulevard who is well-versed in the neighborhood:

Like CC, I%26#39;m assuming you mean the Millenium Hilton since you ask the question, but you should know there are 2 other Millenium hotels in Manhattan, the Mill. Broadway and the Mill. UN Plaza. If you just say ';the Millenium'; to someone, they won%26#39;t necessarily know which hotel you mean.

Yes, I was referring to the Millinum Hilton downtown in the finiancial district. I wondered if there are places to get a bagel, etc. on a weekend there near the hotel. I did not know if most eateries close on the weekends there. I do not want to go to the hotel if we cannot walk to get a bite to eat.

There%26#39;s some very good info in the link CC gave you above. It%26#39;s quite nice down there in summer with Battery Park along the water. You can also do a hop on/off cruise using the

Financier bakery in the World Financial Center has very good croissants and is open at 9 on weekends.

Bubby%26#39;s on Hudson st. in Tribeca is popular for breakfast.
