Hi, I am thinking about booking another trip to NYC. Can anyone tell me if they ever have booked a hotel with Hotwire? It sounds like they are always name brand hotels, but I am really afraid to do it since there is no turning back, but prices are so much better there. Any advice?
Hotwire
www.betterbidding.com has a calendar where you can see the wins on hotwire and priceline.
Hotwire
Not only that, but by looking at the neighborhood and listed amenities, BetterBidding can usually narrow down your prospects to two or three hotels, so it doesn%26#39;t have to be a completely blind offer. This goes for Priceline as well.
Most folks here will recommend that you look at 4-star or better, but we got perfectly adequate rooms at the 3 to 3.5-star level for what we considered to be outrageously low rates (well less than half the going rate).
Not every offer on Hotwire is a huge bargain, though. You might have to study BetterBidding a bit before jumping in.
Thanks so much for this website!! I am looking it over, has all the info I need. Thanks again.
I just did this last week. I was pretty nervous, but I got the Doubletree Chelsea (3.5 stars) for $99 per night! I was pretty confident that it would be that hotel from reviewing posts at betterbidding.com. Good luck!
