Lincoln limousine - How accurate will an estimated total be?

They have quoted me for 3 transfers but have the total price down as estimated total ?

There is a base rate, gratuity @ 20%, tolls of $11 then an estimated total. Has anyone used these ? Do they mean the base rate can change ? Don%26#39;t really want to book it if there are gonna add other charges to it when we get there or change the price.

I have not used Lincoln Limo, However....In my opinion they use estimated total, since things can change such as tolls, or if fuel prices skyrocket again in NY, they add a ';fuel surcharge'; of a few dollars, but the base rate should stay the same...Have them send you an email confirmation to keep with your itinerary...

I have no idea what they mean by estimated. Perhaps they will charge a waiting fee if your plane is late. But I keep telling people there are quite a few complaints on the forum about Lincoln Limo and yet you continue to book them. With all the other options, I don%26#39;t understand. Perhaps they%26#39;re that much cheaper and you don%26#39;t believe the complaints?

An estimate is an estimate - common business practice.

If you want an exact price for transport - Yellow Cab from JFK is $45.00 plus gratuity (which you decide) and if a toll is involved ask the driver prior to the trip if it will be needed and if so how much.

Problem is there seems to be so much positive AND negative about everyone, I just got to the point where I was just gonna go with the best price. Only tried them, Carmel and dial 7. Thing is we need a van to fit us all in and even if we split up, we wouldn%26#39;t get all our luggage in 2 cabs.

Who would you recommend ?

I use carmel a lot, both busines and personal, and have had very few problems. MOST cars are clean and drivers nice, but english is a second language for many of them, so there might be a strong accent. The price they quote is as firm as it can be, the base price is what they quote, + tolls, which will vary depending on how and what time they travel, and tip, which you decide on (except for their large cars and vans where 20% is added). If you have them meet you outside there is no waiting or parking charge, but if you choose meet and greet service (inside pickup, sign with your name) then there will be a parking and waiting charge. They can tell you the amount per hour or 1/2 hour they charge, but won%26#39;t be able to tell you how long they will have to wait because that depends on your flight (I never use this, it isn%26#39;t worth it).

How many are you, how much luggage and what are the prices you%26#39;ve been given and for what kind of vehicles. List it out here. ;) I would also suggest you try getting a quote from

and see how that compares. It%26#39;s fancier than the others, but if there are a lot of you, you might get a stretch limo from them for around the same price as a van from someone else. Strussers also quotes including everything, tolls and tips included.

We don%26#39;t really want to go for a limo as we have booked one to pick us up from the airport to the hotel (a stretch suv) so we have blown the budget on this, so to speak.

There are 7 of us. 4 adults %26amp; 3 children (2 families) We will have 7 suitcases and 2 pushchairs + hand luggage.

Need 3 transfers altogether: NY palace - Bayonne cruise port, Bayonne cruise port - NY Palace, NY Palace - Newark airport.

Carmel are quoting $136 but don%26#39;t know if that includes tips %26amp; tolls ? Can%26#39;t see that info anywhere and $124 for the last transfer.

Lincoln were quoting ...

Base Rate: $100.00

Gratuity (20.00%): $20.00

Tolls: $11.00---------------------------------Estimated Total: $131.00*

Dial 7 are quoting $149 for the 1st trip but it doesn%26#39;t include tolls, tips or waitng.

Really need to keep the cost down on this but don%26#39;t want to end up with an untrustworthy service or being stung by extra charges.

Please, please, please save yourself and do not use Lincoln Limosine. I booked them for my boss, and the drivers driving skills were so erratic that he was literally scared for his life. I wrote a letter to the company upon his return and received no communication at all back from them. Yes, they are cheap - $93 from LGA to the City - but it would be worth it to pay $10 extra to use a professional company. Hope this helps.

This is craziness! How much are you paying for this break the budget limo? You%26#39;re staying at the Palace hotel and going on a cruise!! Get real and stop being pennywise and pound foolish. There are 7 of you and loads of luggage. Either do it right and get a stretch limo that will accomodate you all OR split up in 2 regular sized vehicles using

Forget Lincoln Limo. This is a classic tourist error nickel and diming transportation. In the end you%26#39;ll be sorry or wind up paying more b/c they don%26#39;t show up or something else happens.

I used lincoln limo last week to pick us up from newark and was quoted $115 for a 10 seater stretch plus 20%tip and toll,surely this works out in the region of $150???

when we arrived at the wellington hotel the driver said $170 plus tip,we just gave him the $170,

one of the bell hops arranged for us to be picked up by accord limos on the return,10 seater stretch again plus free booze,the price they qouted was the price we payed

$95 all in

P.s no trip report yet as i still have the holiday blues!!
