So....dinner on a tuesday

We get in to LGA at 630pm...by the time we get to the hotel and all, we%26#39;ll want something tasty, inexpensive and within walking distance to MSG. We%26#39;re staying right there.

Anything will do...chinese, pizza, burgers, deli sandwiches, dirty water dogs...anything really

So....dinner on a tuesday

To me, this is the worst part of town for dining. If you want a quick meal and maybe a few beers, I would go to Stout on 33rd between 6th %26amp; 7th. It%26#39;s good for bar food (with a little more variety, such as oysters).

If you want something a little better, I would suggest walking down to Chelsea (below 23rd), where there are several restaurants.

So....dinner on a tuesday

I%26#39;d check out the Molly Wee Pub on the corner of 8th Avenue and 30th Street - easy 5/8 minutes from the Garden - good pub grub, lively atmosphere and Guinness always on tap......it%26#39;s genuinely a %26#39;local%26#39; not a tourist trap by any means.

Poppa

It%26#39;s a popular question. Try typing ';dinner near Garden'; or ';dining near MSG'; in the search box for more.

I agree about the area, but you could always go to the Tick Tock Diner for eggs or burgers as a back-up.

There%26#39;s also a few pubs like Seven, Tir Na Nog, Molly Wee Pub, Local 33, etc.

Brother Jimmy%26#39;s BBQ is nearby, but I%26#39;ve never been.

Say, what about a late-nightKorean BBQ place?!? W. 33rd Street is ';Little Korea'; and there%26#39;s one after another. There%26#39;s a hotel there also with a nice rooftop bar.

If someone doesn%26#39;t come up with Korean dining links first (I%26#39;m talking to you Crans), I%26#39;ll search on the forum and post later.

If you don%26#39;t mind a bit of a walk, Hill Country BBQ on W. 26th Street would be my recommendation -- and they do take-out orders:

just last night I found out that Scott Conant, the chef of Scarpetta, designed the menu at Lugo - which is on 33rd (between 5th and 6th? maybe 6th-7th). The foodie client I was with last night was at Lugo the night before and loved it. Pastas... Also, if you just want a good burger, BRGR on 7th Ave at 28th is excellent.
