Of course. Did you visit the Tribute Center when you were here in 2006? (I%26#39;m not sure if it was open then or not.) If not, you might be interested--it%26#39;s adjacent to the site:

It%26#39;s a little different now. They have gotten rid of the pews, and put an altar in the center, surrounded by chairs. It rather changes the feeling of the place.
The Tribute Center%26#39;s walking tours are very good. Moving but not maudlin. The guides are recovery workers (e.g., retired firefighters, others who worked in ';the Pit'; following 9/11), survivors, relatives of victims, or people who were living or working in the area that day.

St. Pauls remains a moving tribute to those who served during 9/11. The other great memorial is the Sphere that was in the plaza, that was dug out of the wreckage and placed with an eternal light in Battery Park. Here is a photo:

At the current time, the actual Ground Zero is blocked off with blue construction fencing, and is only available for viewing from the windows at Battery Park City. It looks like any other large construction site.
Hope you don%26#39;t mind, Mel, if I clarify. Battery Park City refers to the entire planned community encompassing almost 100 acres in lower Manhattan. The vantage viewing spot (such as it is now) is through the windows on the upper concourse at the World Financial Center that links 2 WFC and 3 WFC. Behind you will be the large staircase down to the Winter Garden, a soaring atrium filled with palm trees.

Thanks for the info, and you too Mel.
An often overlooked memorial is the Ironworkers%26#39; ';girder cross'; on the Church Street side of St. Peter%26#39;s.
