Strawberry or Century 21?

I absolutely love Strawberry and plan on spending some time yhere next month and I only recently found out about Century 21.

Is one better than the other as far as prices, quality and type of style/mercahndise?

These 2 places are completely different. Strawberry has its own brands and merchandise, which IMO is kind of low quality. You could relate it to H%26amp;M or Forever 21.

Century 21, however, is a discount department store with bedding, shoes, clothes etc with high end through low end brands, sold at a discount.

Century 21 has designer items, brand names, European designers, etc.

Best depts are men%26#39;s clothing/underwear, all socks/hosiery, baby-kids clothes, wallets/small leather, linens, small housewares, NYC souvenirs and luggage.

Worst depts are women%26#39;s clothes, women%26#39;s cosmetics. Dressing room is liek a police holding cell. Awful.

But, if you leave without buying at least any socks, souvenirs or an extra suitcase, you missed out.

QB - You%26#39;ve been watching too many re-runs of ';Barney Miller';. It makes me angry that so many people cling to outdated 70s-era cliches when it comes to crime in NYC. Since we now live in the safest large city in the universe, etc., and the ne%26#39;er-do-wells of yore are simply an unpleasant memory, temporary detention facilities are pristine sanctuaries, well appointed with what our British friends call ';all mod cons';.

In fact here%26#39;s a tip for those visitors wondering ';what will I do on Tueday???They say it might rain?';: In the unlikely event of precipitation, walk into the Heartland Brewery or some such watering hole and start to DANCE. If you%26#39;re lucky, this illegal act might -just MIGHT- afford you a glimpse into the penal wonderland that is New York City in the XXIst century.

Hello? What are you talking about JAWP? When was the last time YOU saw one of those holding cells and when, pray tell, were you in a woman%26#39;s dressing room at C 21 last? Hmmm?

To the OP, these 2 stores have nothing in common other than they both happen to sell clothing.

OK, JAWP: the women%26#39;s dressing room is like a post-September 11, 2001 airport security strip search and interrogation room. Better?

Century 21 - fabulous. Great bargains. But the women%26#39;s change rooms are like nothing I%26#39;d seen. It is a bit ';guilty until proven innocent';. You can%26#39;t try on bras, for example. Who buys a bra without trying it on? Here%26#39;s a thought - get security tags.

But the prices for everything else make it worth it.
