Times Square hotel deals??

I know this has been discussed before, feel free to not answer.

This is our first time to NYC, girls weekend for our daughters 21st birthday. I am looking for a clean hotel, in Times Square for 3 of us, April 30-May 3rd. I have checked Travelzoo, Priceline, Hotels.ca, The best deal that I can find is the Milford Plaza for $181 per night.

What do you think-can we do better than that for under $200 a night?

I just booked an Executive room at the Hotel Mela at 44th and Broadway for $199 a night, directly through the hotel. I think that%26#39;s the deal I was looking for. Very friendly staff, spoke with the concierge to plan trips already, fabulous location-NYC here we come!!!

Hey, I stayed at the Milford on my very first trip to the city. Loved it. Very clean.

YES. Milford Plaza is not very nice. I agree the Mela would be better but I don%26#39;t think they have rooms (at least not on the sale price) for 3.

1) If you want to stay at the Milford Plaza (but why?) it%26#39;s $172/night plus tax on hotels.com

2) The Courtyard Times Square South is $179 for 2 nights and $199 (plus tax) for 1 night and is much much nicer and newer and you might have some views. It%26#39;s a cancelable rate (as is the hotels.com rate for the Milford) so you could book either and wait to see if any specials appear on travelzoo.

The price that I was able to get for the Mela is not the standard or special price (the Travelzoo special is only for up to 2 people). I was quoted $230, showed my disappointment and the lovely young lady on the phone brought the price down to what I asked for!

Location is everything for us on this trip! The Milford is certainly in the right location. The Mela is a smaller hotel that I think will fit our needs perfectly. We are excited out of our minds!!!
