Any recomendations of a nice clean place to stay for this weekend? Our schools basketball team is playing at the Community College and would like a clean, and convieniant place to stay for a group of 12 people. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Thanks.

Although I run a hotel here in Albany, I haven%26#39;t been to thsee hotels in a few years so can not speak as to their current condition.

However, the closest hotels to Hudson Valley are in East Greenbush/Rennsselear.

There is a Comfort Inn, a Holiday Inn Express, a Farifield and a Residence Inn. They are not really situated to walk to shops and restaurants. If you go to Hudon Valley Community College website and click on visitors then nearby lodging, it will bring you to a list of these hotels with links.

There is an idependnet hotel right in Troy (alos on Hudson Valleys Web site), the Franklin Square Inn adn Suites. This one I was just in recently and it is quite lovely.

Otherwise, your chocies for locations with places close by would be downtown Albany (Hampton Inn-Crown Plaza) or the variety of hotels on Wolf Rd.

If you google Wolf Rd (the zip is 12205) it will give you a list of hotels you can look at.
