Well, finally after many months of planning and a trip to London for a visa I have at last booked my trip for this coming july/august.
It is a special holiday with our in-laws to celebrate two 50eth birthdays.
After studying the forums for many hours I decided on the following.
Just thought I would share with you forum users my plans and thank everyone for their invaluable and informative contributions to this wonderful site.
Right ,here goes.
4 nights Mirage -Las Vegas
6 nights Outrigger Reef on The Beach-Waikiki,Oahu,Hawaii
3 nights The Kitano-New York City
and i will be sure to post reviews on my return and once again thanks all.

USA-mega trip 2009
Just wanted to mention that it is an 8/9 hour plane ride from Las Vegas to Hawaii and 13 hours or more from Hawaii to NYC.
I trust you factored this travel time into your schedule.
USA-mega trip 2009
It%26#39;s just under six hours from Las Vegas to Honolulu.
I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ve done your research and you probably posted on the Hawaii forum. However, for a memorable Hawaiian trip, Oahu is not anything special. For what it%26#39;s worth, I think the islands of Kaui and Maui are far more beautiful and more ';special'; than is Oahu (other than visiting Pearl Harbor). Just my opinion. Anyway, I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll have a great time either way.
Hey RedTigerFan ..... as an extra 50th birthday treat ..... do you think you need someone to come along and carry your luggage? I can also hail a cab in a pinch and hold the front door as you get out of the limo!
Hi ,yer I understand that Waikiki is very commercial
but for us it is a real name resort a dream of my sister in law to say she has been to waikiki beach and we are all up with it party people, even though we are now getting on a bit.
Hoping to see around the island as well.
Also another main attraction is Pearl Harbour.
Lotuspath.sorry there is already a long line of people offering to provide this service but I will put you in as reserve.
Cheers
